Q: How do I choose the right attorney?
A: Choosing the right attorney can be a daunting process. There are a lot of attorney that will be eager to help you. However, not all of them will give you the time and attention that you deserve and need. The decision of which attorney to select is yours to make. Do not agree to hire an attorney if you do not feel comfortable with him or her at the initial consultation. Additionally, just because you meet with an attorney about your case, does not mean that you must hire that attorney. Be sure that the attorney that you hire handles the type of matter you need help with. There are some attorney out there that are willing to “dabble” and help anyone with anything. Our advice to you is to choose an attorney that you trust. Not every personal injury matter resolves quickly. Therefore, you might be working with this attorney for a significant period of time.

Q: If I am not satisfied with the attorney that I currently have, can I switch attorney?
A: You, as a client, always have the right to obtain a new attorney to assist you in handling your matter. No matter what stage of the process your case is in, if your current attorney is not representing you properly, you should not hesitate to find a new attorney. If you do hesitate, it could jeopardize your case depending on the current stage of your case. At Bruce Law, LLC, we frequently assist clients in obtaining their file from their current attorney who is not doing a proper job. We make the process of switching attorney seamless to you and your case. If you are already dissatisfied with your current attorney, you are only going to continue to be frustrated. Why wait? Contact Bruce Law, LLC today if you would like to speak with us about taking over your matter and giving you the time and attention you deserve.

Q: If I switch attorney, will it cost me more money?
A: Absolutely not. Personal injury matters are handled on a contingent basis. That means that the attorney fee is only due if your matter is resolved. If you started your case with one attorney and then switched attorney, you are still going to pay the same attorney fee. Our office will worry about how that fee will be split with the prior attorney.
